Logistics on the construction site are also simplified: there are fewer “lost units”, no need for additional foundation elements and installation is carried out in one continuous operation. Thanks to the large contact surface, the B kerbstone also offers better load transfer, which is particularly relevant for crossings with heavy traffic.
Another advantage: the design allows adjustments to be made in both vertical and horizontal directions without time-consuming reworking. During installation, there is no need to slow down traffic on the opposite track, making the system ideal for tight construction schedules and work during ongoing operations.

The STRAIL D kerbstone is a variant that also has an integrated drainage system. This means that surface water from the road is drained away from the level crossing and can seep into the adjacent soil. Structurally identical to the T kerbstone, the D kerbstone fits all standard STRAIL outer panels and can be installed quickly and efficiently using STRAIL precast foundations. Even under heavy loads, it delivers lasting stability while protecting adjacent components through controlled water drainage.
