Ground-breaking ceremony for new production facility in Tittmoning

With a ceremonial groundbreaking, KRAIBURG STRAIL officially kicked off construction of its new facility dedicated to make-to-order production in Tittmoning-Mayerhofen. This forward-looking project will expand capacity for the modern, tailor-made manufacturing of level crossings and polymer sleepers.

A strong commitment to the Tittmoning site

The ceremony was attended not only by the management of KRAIBURG STRAIL, but also by representatives of KRAIBURG Holding and Tittmoning’s mayor, Andreas Bratzdrum, who highlighted the importance of the investment for the group and the region.
“This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for KRAIBURG STRAIL and demonstrates our strong commitment to the Tittmoning site,” emphasized Günther Wagner, Managing Director of KRAIBURG STRAIL. “With this investment, we are strengthening our position as a leading provider and laying the foundation for further growth and innovation.”

Modern production and optimized processes

The planned building, with a footprint of 70 by 25 meters, will house modern office and social spaces as well as the centerpiece of the site expansion: an innovative sawing system from Löffler, allowing efficient processing of polymer sleepers up to seven meters long—without the need for forklift traffic in the production area.

Material supply and overall energy capacity are also being optimized: an attached granulate storage facility and a new medium-voltage connection for the entire Mayerhofen site ensure sustainable growth.
Occupancy of the new building is planned for June 2026, following approximately one year of construction.
