Rail web damper

Combat noise before it arises

The weight of the rail web damper reduces the vibration and thus reduces noise emission. The system is an effective way of combating noise before it occurs. A damper element is fitted on both sides of the rail web between two rail fastenings, each in the sleeper compartment. The rail web dampers do not need to be removed for maintenance work, for example for tamping work on the track, or for rail grinding.

Sound protection directly at the source

The rail web damper reduces noise generated directly at the point of contact between the wheel and the rail. The elements are attached to the rail web and help to dampen noise emissions where they are generated.

  • Insulating elements mounted on the rail web
  • Durable, robust and low-maintenance
  • Due to the extremely narrow design, through-working is also possible in the radius
    with a section tamping machine
  • No removal necessary during normal maintenance work on the track
  • Inspection and surveying work is not affected
    or hindered
