Project description
The sleeper replacement in Loucna marked a significant milestone for KRAIBURG STRAIL, as it represented the first installation of STRAILway polymer sleepers in the Czech Republic. The client for this project was the construction company SART, which had already demonstrated its close and long-standing cooperation with KRAIBURG STRAIL and its partner company VITESSE through the country’s first ponti level crossing. The objective was to replace the existing wooden turnout sleepers with modern STRAILway polymer sleepers.
The replacement of the old wooden sleepers went completely smoothly thanks to the properties of the STRAILway polymer sleepers. During Installation, the fitters of the construction company SART were particularly impressed by how straightforward and hassle-free the new polymer sleepers were to install compared to the traditional materials. The management of the Czech and Slovakian Railways, the municipal utilities and the local turnout manufacturer also followed the installation with great interest.
The project in Loucna was a complete success. All pasrties involved were very satisfied with the high-quality design of the polymer sleepers and the uncomplicated installation. In particular, the quick and easy installation and the appealing quality of workmanship contributed significantly to the positive assessment by the client and all other important stakeholders.
