Project description
The goal of this major project in Ibbenbüren was to significantly enhance traffic safety at the Glücksburger Straße level crossing, which had previously been a high-accident hotspot.
The optimized track layout now provides clear and safe conditions: the road features two separate lanes, aligned almost perpendicular to the tracks, greatly improving visibility and clarity. Separate, secure crossings have been created specifically for cyclists and pedestrians.
High-quality system solutions for six crossings: Various STRAIL systems were combined to meet different requirements. For four separate cycle and pedestrian crossings, specially designed pede panels were used in combination with ponti outer panels. Two roadway crossings were equipped with the proven, robust pro and ponti level crossing panels.
